Question 1

How much does a chandelier cost in Nigeria?

Accepted Answer

The median chandelier at LAGE Lightings (also known as Lights Architect) is 350,000 naira, with the middle half of the range between 280,000 and 507,500 naira. The cheapest is 65,000 and the most expensive 1,500,000 naira. About 1 in 10 designs (10.5%) come in under 200,000 naira. Figures as of 12 October 2026.

Question 2

What size chandelier do I need for my living room?

Accepted Answer

Add the room length and width in metres, then multiply by 8.3 for the diameter in centimetres. A 5m by 4m room takes about 75cm. Rooms larger than 5m in either direction are better served by two or more fixtures zoned across the ceiling than by one oversized piece.

Question 3

Chandelier or pendant light for a high ceiling?

Accepted Answer

Above 3.2m a chandelier reads better, because a single pendant looks stranded in the volume. Multi-tier designs fill the vertical space between 3.2m and 4.5m and cascading designs work above that. Pendants suit ceilings between 2.45m and 3.2m, or clusters over a table or island at any height.

Question 4

Can I hang a chandelier on a POP ceiling in Nigeria?

Accepted Answer

Only if the fixture is anchored into the concrete slab above the POP rather than into the board itself. POP carries almost no weight and fails suddenly. For fixtures above 25kg, which covers most crystal and multi-tier designs, the anchor should be specified before the ceiling is closed.

Question 5

Does LAGE Lightings supply custom chandeliers for hotels and lobbies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Custom pieces for hotel lobbies, double height spaces and commercial interiors are quoted per project. Send the ceiling height, void dimensions and a photo of the space to a showroom in Lekki, Lagos or Wuse 2, Abuja for a specification and quote.
